Perseveranza is the culmination of a dream, a life-altering journey undertaken by Arjen and Lenja, a Dutch couple who traded their familiar world in The Netherlands for the authentic charm of rural Italy.
Nestled near the medieval village of Petritoli, in Le Marche, our boutique vineyard and winery enclosed between the Adriatic Sea and the Sibillini Mountains.
We organically cultivate approximately 11 hectares of vines, nurturing mostly local grape varieties like Pecorino, Trebbiano, Passerina, Sangiovese, and Montepulciano.
Producing around 45,000 bottles annually, we specialize in single-grape, high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of our vineyard and authentic production process.
We are immensely proud of the recognition our 2022/2023 vintages have received, including excellent reviews from Perswijn and De Grote Hamersma in 2024, and the inclusion of several Perseveranza wines in the prestigious Gambero Rosso 2025 guide.

Meet our famous fellow villagers from Petritoli.
The year 2023 brought a unique challenge! A very wet spring forced us to act fast. To secure the quality of our harvest, we pre-harvested half of our Sangiovese grapes, crafting a delightful and exceptional IGT Marche Bianco and IGT Marche Rosato. The remaining grapes, along with other varieties, benefited from a late September harvest, allowing them to mature beautifully. While many vineyards lost their crops entirely, ours thrived under these unique conditions, resulting in a more exclusive and exceptional vintage. We also expanded our vineyards, bringing you a wider selection of wines with a total of 40,000 bottles in our 2023 series. Explore them and discover and order your new favorites!

Our story
After an intensive period, at the beginning of 2021, Arjen and Lenja wanted grab their 2nd chance in life with both hands. Arjen wanted to become a winemaker, one of the first sentences he uttered after waking up from a coma, and so it happened. The choice for Italy in the beautiful hilly region of Marche was quickly made to start our adventure.

In the vineyard and winery two passions come beautifully together: wine and agriculture.
Cultivating a vineyard and olive grove and managing a winery are both very rewarding experiences, but it requires proper planning and knowledge.
Our winery
Finally, the grapes and olives are harvested and brought to the winery. In the winery, they undergo processes of crushing, destemming, fermentation, aging, and bottling. Everything is continually tested and tasted until the perfect wine is achieved.
